If your order is too large to send by conventional courier, we will obtain a competitive quote from a variety of different freight companies. Unless otherwise stated, these quotes will include delivery to your door. These quotes will not include destination customs and clearance fees which may be incurred (see below). If you have provided us with any specific delivery requirements, these will be factored in when we obtain quotes.
Due to the nature of the haulage, aviation industry, fluctuating fuel costs and other factors, these quotes cannot be guaranteed and are subject to change. We will alter our freight quote where applicable and advise you up until the point you pay for your order.
If you are ordering from outside the EU, you may be liable for customs charges and clearance fees when your order arrives in your country. As the importer it is your responsibility to pay for these costs which will vary depending on a range of factors. A.H. Spares Ltd is unable to provide specific information for your area. Please contact your local customs department or see your government's website for more details.
A.H. Spares Ltd cannot be held liable for any charges incurred by your country's customs department and refusing to pay will ultimately result in your order being returned to us. In this event we will refund the value of the order, but you will still be liable for all the freight costs.
We will follow any customs declaration instructions you provide, however A.H. Spares Ltd will not be held liable should any delays or charges be incurred as a result of following said instructions.
If you are unhappy with your order and a return to us has been agreed, we will issue you with a Customer Returns form including a pre-printed address label which you will need to attach to the box along with a copy of your invoice. This is essential so that the parcel can be processed through UK customs quickly and delivered to us to enable the refund process to take place. Failure to include the address label or the invoice could result in a delay and the value of our import fees deducted from your refund.
Making Your Own Carriage Arrangements
If you have your own account with a courier or freight company, you can arrange to have your order collected from us at your own cost. In this situation the consignment will be marked as "EX-WORKS" which means that you will be responsible for the collection, service and delivery. This is advantageous if you prefer to have total control over the delivery method used, however it will mean that you will be responsible for dealing with any shipping delays or delivery issues if they arise. We will charge you only for the cost of packing your order and we will send you the tracking number (if applicable) once it has been collected.
A.H. Spares Ltd will not accept any charges in relation to an EX-WORKS consignment. If charges are incurred for any reason, they will be added to the value of your order and payment will be charged accordingly.
It is important that you provide us with a valid telephone number so that you may be contacted in the event a problem occurs with your order. For this reason your telephone number may be passed to the courier company responsible for delivering your order. This will help to avoid any delays with your order and expedite any delivery issues should they arise.
For orders that we send by courier, you must provide an address where either yourself or another person can sign for the delivery of the consignment. (This person needs to be an adult aged 21 or over.) If no one is home when the delivery is attempted, the courier will attempt to deliver again on the next working day. Courier companies will only attempt to deliver a consignment up to two or three times before it is returned to us. In this event you will still be liable for the delivery costs and the cost to send the order out again.
Any goods which are incorrectly supplied to order or that are defective, will be exchanged or a refund given. Goods returned for any other reason must be undamaged and returned in their original packaging, within 30 days along with a copy of the invoice. They will then be subject to a handling charge of 15% and deduction of any additional customs charges if being returned from outside the EU. If you live outside the EU and are returning goods to us, it is important that you mark the parcel, invoice and customs declaration with the following:
CPC 61 23 F01
Please ensure that a copy of the invoice is included in the parcel.
Any non-stock items which have been specially obtained or manufactured are non returnable unless faulty.
